We have a made a new HSV-2 vaccine vector that can specifically elicit a special class of antibodies Looking for a molecular virologist with experiences with molecular biologist to generate a number of recombinant HSV-2 viruses to make vaccines against HIV, other viral pathogens and malaria. The successful applicant should be willing to work with mice and guinea pigs and possess a competent background in molecular genetics. The applicant could be a recent graduate looking for a challenge and dedicated to excellence.

Experience

  • PhD. from accredited university in Immunology or related field

  • 1-2 years of post-doctoral research experience preferred

  • Experience working with antibodies, rodents, or viruses a plus

  • Experience in molecular genetics preferred

The Department of Microbiology & Immunology has a big tent dedicated to excellence in research with the ultimate goals of improving human health and training the next generation of biomedical research scientists.
